Atlantic Retail today announced the addition of Arlene Baker to its global marketing and support team as Atlantic’s Senior GIS Manager. She will work nationally and be based in Atlantic’s Orlando office. Arlene brings with her more than 16 years of experience working as a GIS Analyst for The Shopping Center Group. She has a BS in Agriculture from Mississippi State University, a BS in Geography from the University of South Alabama and studied Business Geography and Urban Planning as a graduate student at the University of Florida.
In this role, Arlene will be tasked with aligning GIS data and marketing efforts across Atlantic’s nine offices. Internally, she will be focused on developing processes and data sets to improve efficiency and ensure data quality and consistency for Atlantic’s client support teams. A data expert by craft, Arlene will also serve as a direct resource to Atlantic’s clients on a project-by-project basis.
“I’m really excited to join Atlantic,” said Arlene. “This is a terrific opportunity to use the skills I have acquired in my career and contribute them to a company that continues to grow not only in Florida but throughout the US. I look forward to this next chapter.”
“Arlene’s particular expertise is something that is fairly new to us and a reminder that we need to constantly evaluate how we do things and ask ourselves if we can do better,” said Brian Roache, Managing Director. “Technology and data science are revolutionizing our industry and we have already adapted other aspects of our business. Arlene is going to help keep us on the cutting edge so we can continue to offer top-notch service to our clients.”
