AR Global - SunTrust Disposition

Situation

For nearly a decade, Atlantic Retail has served as an advisor to real estate firm AR Global and it subsidiaries. American Finance Trust (NASDAQ: AFIN) has a diverse portfolio of retail assets which includes a large number of SunTrust Bank locations across the Southeast. As with all large portfolios timely asset management is key. AFIN was interested in moving on from locations with short or expired lease term in order to quickly return liquidity to investors and re-deploy capital. AR Global turned to Atlantic to evaluate, market, and ultimately sell these assets.

The Process

Atlantic’s teams in Florida and the Carolina’s were perfectly positioned to assist AFIN with the disposition of theses locations. The first group of sites were spread across North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida in markets where our teams had extensive experience. Atlantic performed initial site assessments, provided opinions on value, and eventually offered a portfolio of sites for sale.

Result

Over a 24 month period, Atlantic successfully sold all 41 properties across 4 states on behalf of AFIN with a value of more than $35,100,000. Based on this track record of performance, Atlantic is now marketing additional sites for sale on AR Global’s behalf.
