Wes Thurmond

Wes joined Atlantic Retail in 2024 bringing with him close to 20 years of experience representing Landlords throughout the Southeast, with an emphasis on the Carolinas. Wes is highly regarded by developers, shopping center REITs, retailers, private real estate investors, and, most importantly, by his peers for his ability to provide consistent results, solve problems quickly and adapt to the ever-changing retail environment. Wes is skilled in all facets of Landlord representation including shopping center leasing, developer site selection, retailer disposition, and everything in between.

A native of New York, Wes is a graduate of Gettysburg College where he was a four-year student athlete on the men’s soccer team. Wes is a proud husband and the father of two incredible children.

Jamie Lynch

Jamie joined Atlantic in 2024, bringing experience from two years of leasing on the Landlord side of the business. While she has worked across much of the New England market, her current focus is on urban retail.

Originally from Jupiter, Florida, Jamie enjoys any opportunity to visit home. She earned Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Communication from Boston College and has lived in South Boston ever since.

Jake Brennan

Jake joined Atlantic Retail in 2024. On the Boston Urban team, Jake focuses on tenant and landlord representation. Prior to joining Atlantic, Jake worked at Radius Financial Group where he focused on commercial real estate lending and business insurance. Prior to his time at Radius, he worked at Compass on the Metro West Team.

Jake graduated from Roger Williams University in 2023, where he earned a degree in marketing and communications and was an active member on the men’s golf team. Originally from Duxbury, he now resides in South Boston. Outside of the office, you can find Jake on the golf course and spending time with family and friends.

Erin Smith

Erin joined Atlantic in 2024 as a broker in the Charlotte office. Prior to joining Atlantic, Erin worked at JLL as a project manager and brokerage coordinator. At Atlantic, Erin works alongside the leasing team specializing in the leasing and pre-leasing of grocery anchored centers, unanchored strip centers, and power centers.

Erin graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Marketing and minor in Management. Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and exploring new restaurants. Erin currently resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband, Kyle and son.

Teddy Driscoll

Teddy joined Atlantic Capital Partners in 2024 as an Associate in the Atlanta office where he is responsible for aiding in the advancement of the Capital Markets Platform throughout the Southeast. Teddy focuses on dispositions and acquisitions advisory for single and multi-tenant retail properties.

Prior to joining Atlantic, Teddy was a Senior Analyst/Brokerage Associate at Transwestern where he handled all aspects of underwriting and valuing investments as well as assisting in the marketing and negotiating the sale of a wide variety of assets including retail, industrial, office, multifamily and land around Metro Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. Teddy is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Teddy earned his Master’s Degree from Georgia State University in Commercial Real Estate and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Connecticut College. Outside of the office, Teddy currently serves on the Executive Board of the Real Estate Alumni Association for Georgia State University (Area GSU). Teddy lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, son, and dog, and in his spare time enjoys playing golf, hockey, and traveling.

Max Van Dresser

Max Van Dresser provides corporate advisory services to national and regional real estate clients. Max’s services aim to reduce tenant leasing costs through lease restructuring and advisory. He leverages his capital markets experience and knowledge to help determine where leasing and capital costs can be reduced while maintaining strong relationships between tenants and landlords. Previously, Max worked for a national real estate brokerage firm and focused on investment sales. His prior experience provides Max with a deep understanding of how restructuring lease terms can significantly impact a landlord’s investment value.

Max received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in real estate from the University of Georgia. Max was born and raised in Allanta where he currently lives with his wife and son. In his free time, Max enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends. On weekends and holidays, you can find him golfing, skiing, mountain biking or cheering on an Atlanta sports team.

William Clemenza

William joined Atlantic Retail in 2024, bringing with him over 7 years of commercial real estate experience. His background runs the gamut of the commercial real estate industry from his internship days working for two retail brokers while in college, to working in the property management sector, and a local bank in commercial real estate underwriting. In 2019, William became a full-time broker with a focus on retail landlord representation and tenant representation in Western and Central Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia working with clients such as MSP Development, Dollar General and Tractor Supply.

William Grew up just outside of Pittsburgh and attended Drexel University in Philadelphia where he studied finance/real estate and construction. Away from work, William enjoys skiing, golf, and the occasional dad joke. He currently lives in the City of Pittsburgh with his Fiancé and dog (Harper).

John Varol

John Varol joined Atlantic Retail in 2024 as the Director of Leasing – Carolinas after an eight-year career at The Providence Group. Since starting his career in 2016, John has become one of the premier Landlord Representatives in the Carolinas specializing in the leasing and pre-leasing of grocery anchored centers, unanchored strip centers, and power centers. A lifelong resident of Carolinas, John’s market knowledge, transaction experience, and relentless work ethic allows him to execute repeatedly for his clients. John works with numerous REITs, Institutional and Private Investment Groups and Retail Developers across the Carolinas.

John graduated from Wake Forest University in 2014 with a B.A. in Economics and was also a member of the Wake Forest Men’s Golf Team. In his free time John enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, and skiing. John currently resides in Charlotte N.C. with his wife, Erin and son.

Katie Elliott

Katie provides corporate advisory services to retail and industrial clients throughout the United States via lease restructuring and sale leaseback programs. Utilizing a proactive approach, Katie helps clients evaluate real estate portfolios to reduce costs or monetize assets. Prior to co-founding Atlantic Corporate Services, Katie worked at both JLL and Northmarq via the Stan Johnson acquisition representing corporate occupiers, private equity firms, institutions and family offices in lease negotiations and capital markets transactions.

Katie received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Georgia and completed her MBA from Universidad Pontificia Comillas located in Madrid, Spain. Prior to entering the real estate industry, Katie worked at Smithsonian Magazine and served as a volunteer in community health development with the Peace Corps in Guyana, South America. When Katie is not working, you will find her camping with her husband and two daughters or cheering on Atlanta United.

Shan Gastineau

In his role with Atlantic Corporate Services, Shan provides clients with expertise in lease restructuring and global access to capital that helps corporate real estate occupiers optimize economics and maximize asset value.

Shan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Greek and Latin Classics from Georgia State University and enjoys participating in various organizations outside of work. He was a long-time member of the Board at the Atlanta Mission, a ministry serving those experiencing homelessness; he founded M’AIDEZ 22, a non-profit helping adults with special needs; and is actively involved with LeaderImpact, an organization working with business leaders across the world.

If a degree in Greek and Latin taught me anything, it taught me this – On trial for his life in ancient Athens, Socrates summed up for the jury the secret to adaptability, to creativity, to challenging old ways and models of doing and thinking, to a willingness to change, and ultimately to the good and right way – “The unexamined life is not worth living.”
