CAVA Opens 2 Boston Area Locations

CAVA, the Washington, DC-based Mediterranean fast casual restaurant and culinary brand, has opened two Boston area locations in 2018 and will continue to build on its brand with three additional locations announced for later this year. Their first restaurant opened in January in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, followed by the March opening at Legacy Place in Dedham. Each opening has featured their signature “Community Day,” where CAVA provides free lunch and dinner and also takes donations to benefit local non-profit Future Chefs.

Atlantic Retail is the exclusive agent for CAVA handling their Boston expansion, led by Urban Director Ben Ravelson. Working in close cooperation with JP Kennedy and Brent Renner from the CAVA team, Atlantic has executed a plan to secure top-tier real estate in the ultra-competitive fast casual landscape. Building on the momentum of their two Boston openings, future 2018 locations include the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham, Boston-Back Bay, and Cambridge-Kendall Square.


CAVA was founded in 2011 by childhood friends Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos, and Executive Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. CAVA was created to bring modern, authentic, and vibrant Mediterranean food to a wider audience, using ingredients made from scratch in-house every day. The menu is specially created to deliver and ultra-personalized experience for each and every guest – featuring over 50 offerings and 58 million possible combinations of bold ingredients and flavors. CAVA is committed to working with best-in-class food partners including local grower and rancher partners like Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, ME. In Boston, CAVA has partnered with Lark Fine Foods to offer a custom Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie which will be available exclusively at CAVA locations.
