News 15 Successful Years in Florida

In 2003, after more than a decade of successfully representing retailers and landlords throughout New England, Atlantic turned our attention south and opened our first venture outside of the northeast. With longtime client Petco in hand, Dan Lynch packed up his family and traded in rocky shorelines and cold winters for the sandy beaches of the Sunshine State.

Not that Dan would see much of the beach in those early days. Even with Petco’s ambitious growth plans, it’s more than a full-time job starting a brokerage from scratch in a new market. In short order, Dan tapped into the talents of Tom and Greg Godino, fellow New England transplants and future Atlantic Partners. With additional tenant assignments from iParty, Leslie’s Pool Supplies, and Ethan Allen, the trio were off and running. By 2005, our office had completed deals touching all corners of Florida and by 2006 had completed their 100th transaction.

Today, Atlantic Retail’s coverage extends from Palm Beach to Pensacola and everywhere in between. In the last 15 years, our team has completed more than 1,900 transactions and leased nearly 23,000,000 SF of space. Our Jupiter office boasts 17 team members (and counting), representing 56 retail companies and more than 100 retail properties.

Dan and the Florida team have endured the fluctuations of the Florida economy, the coming and going of national retailers, and even a hurricane or two. After all of that, the office is as strong as ever and looking forward to the next 15 years of working with retailers and landlords across the southeast.
